Editor’s Notes: There are two articles and a photograph attached to this submission. In the articles, there are a couple of obvious errors: 1. Bentonville is in Johnston County. 2. The author of The Courier article erroneously stated that Pvt. Howell was trained under “Col. Daniel Henry Hall.” The man’s name was Daniel Harvey Hill.
